How does the PayByPhone app know where I am parked?

To know where you are parked and associate the parking rate, you need to enter the location code corresponding to where you are parked. The location code is a unique number associated with a parking space, machine or off-street lot. To find your location code, you can use our geolocation, or interactive map or manually input the location code displayed on the closest parking machine.
How does the Parking officer know I have paid for parking as I do not display a ticket?

Parking officers verify parking payment via license plate number using their device. If parking is offered by PayByPhone, police and parking control officers have already been trained to verify digital tickets.
What is the link between PayByPhone and Baltimore?
