Our technology uses ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) to detect their vehicle’s number plate and process payments seamlessly.

How does AutoPay work?

Opt-in to AutoPay

Drivers opt in to AutoPay in their PayByPhone account, enabling licence plate recognition by the Operator’s ANPR system.

Park and enjoy your day

Upon entering an AutoPay-enabled garage, the gate opens automatically.

Drive away!

On exit, the gate opens automatically. Parking is calculated, and payment is processed automatically via the app.

No more queuing at a machine!

Pay on Exit

With Pay on Exit, drivers simply open the app when they are ready to leave the car park and pay only for the time they have parked. It's a seamless experience, all handled from their phone.

How does Pay on Exit work?

Park and enjoy your day

They park and enjoy their day. On return, they open the PayByPhone app.

Drive away!

They enter the location code. Payment is made before exiting. The gate opens automatically and the driver can leave.
