We believe in the power of diversity.

We’ve all seen the devastating impact that systemic racism and discrimination causes. After introspection, we came to realize that we at PayByPhone have the ability to make lasting impact. We can create meaningful change in the world through our actions and our approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

We are committed to doing the work to help actively break down discrimination and systemic racism. It won’t be easy, and we won’t be perfect. We recognize that change won't happen overnight, but we are dedicated to putting in the work on an ongoing basis - even if we make mistakes along the way. Learning and unlearning is a journey that takes time, but we see the urgency and commit to continuously doing better.

We believe that diversity creates not only a better environment for us all to thrive, but it also creates better results. When people feel supported and empowered to be their true selves, creativity and innovation (two things we value) soar.

Diversity is also embedded in our values and we have made a conscious decision to focus on living this value day in and day out. 

Our DEI Purpose Statement:

To continuously build an organization that is safe, diverse, equitable, and inclusive for everyone that interacts with us. This includes our team members, clients, customers, and those who we come across in our PayByPhone journey. We are committed to having open dialogues, continuously educating ourselves, identifying and speaking up against systemic oppression, and providing a platform for different perspectives to be heard so that everyone feels a sense of belonging.

Some of What We’re Doing.

Actions speak louder than words, so here are just a few things that are already under way at PayByPhone:

  • Establishing a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion task force
  • Conducting surveys to ensure the voice of our employees is heard
  • Launching a DEI resource library
  • Expanding our learning & development program to include DEI training (anti-oppression, unconscious bias) for our team members
  • Launching a DEI policy, in conjunction with our existing bullying & harassment policy
  • Launching Level Up Your Love, a space where PayByPhoners across the globe can come to share experiences, resources, and more to educate each other on topics related to DEI

It’s just a start. There’s far more we want to do as our commitment to DEI grows.

Ultimately, we aim to cultivate a culture of belonging - for our employees, our customers, and everyone we interact with. By embracing and valuing our differences, we can foster and nurture a place that is filled with people from varying ages, ethnicities and cultural backgrounds, disabilities, gender identities and expressions, physical and mental abilities, religion, sexual orientations, and other characteristics that bring forward diverse perspectives and experiences.
