Verrus PayByPhone and the City of South Miami are pleased to announce the official launch of PayByPhone parking. When paying by cell phone, motorists can receive a text message reminder a few minutes before their parking time expires. They can then add more time if required, greatly reducing the chance of a parking violation. South Miami joins the City of Miami and Fort Lauderdale, who both offer PayByPhone parking in South Florida.
“We are excited to announce this new payment method,” said City of South Miami CFO, Alfredo Riverol. “The PayByPhone option is another way South Miami is using technology to ensure residents and visitors have the most convenient way to pay for parking.”
To sign up for a free PayByPhone account, drivers can register their cell phone number by visiting paybyphone.com or by calling 1-888-950- PARK (7275) when parking. An optional email receipt is available for every transaction and a history of transactions is downloadable online at paybyphone.com.
